I am Aitor Castagnino González-Gorbeña, an 18-year-old Italo-Spanish athlete who has been dedicated to alpine skiing since the age of 3. For the past four years, I have been studying in Italy at Liceo Bachmann in Tarvisio, following a program that combines skiing and academics, providing me with the opportunity to train every day while continuing my studies. Upon completing my studies at Liceo Bachmann, my plan is to enter the University of Turin to pursue my academic studies while continuing to train for the Turin 2025 World University Games, representing Spain.

Sports have provided me with numerous opportunities, shaped my character, instilled discipline and values in me, and I aim for it to remain an integral part of my life. Juggling academics and sports has never been easy, but when you have a passion for something, no matter how difficult, you find a way to push forward. My sporting spirit, perseverance, and motivation to achieve my dream are what inspire me every day to surpass myself and set new goals, both in the sports arena and academically.

Two years ago, I embarked on my journey into the world of FIS races, competing as a Spanish athlete. My best result has been achieving 77.07 points in Downhill and 78.26 points in slalom.

My future goals in skiing are as follows: to join the Spanish national team, participate in the 2025 World University Games, and perhaps aim for a spot in the Cortina 2026 Olympics, representing Spain.

I understand that these are very ambitious goals, and they might even seem impossible, but I like to believe that with my determination and hard work, I can continue to surpass myself and achieve my aspirations.

My parents have always supported and helped me, as skiing is a sport that requires significant financial investment to afford proper equipment, travel expenses, race fees, and more. Therefore, I am reaching out to you to seek support in continuing to grow as an athlete, competing, and studying, as I have reached a point where assistance is indispensable for my career and would provide me with the final push I need.

To excel, I need to constantly push my limits. I am ready to work hard, but I also understand that the road to success will be challenging. By supporting me today, you are investing in something greater than just fundraising. You are changing my life. Thank you for your support!
